Clean Air

Ridgewood Bushwick Senior Citizens Council, Inc. is a Champion of the New York State Department of Transportation’s Clean Air NY initiative. Clean Air NY is a dynamic collaborative of organizations and individuals in the New York metro area that is taking action to improve air quality and combat ozone pollution, which endangers the lives of 65% of all New York State residents. Becoming a Clean Air NY Champion was a natural step for RBSCC, which incorporates green building design in all of its multifamily developments while still keeping them 100% affordable. RBSCC will soon build the first “passive house” in New York City, which is a building designed to use the natural heat from the sun, appliances, and people, almost completely eliminating boiler emissions.
