OST/Tutoring & Homework Assistance Program : THAP

OST/Tutoring & Homework Assistance Program (THAP): THAP offers tutorial and remedial assistance to young people attending elementary school. This program seeks to nurture children in a safe environment while motivating and encouraging them to improve their school performances in basic subject areas. Certified Department of Education teachers provide one on one and group assistance in Reading and Math, and homework assistance in all subjects. THAP provides supervised escort service from P.S. 86 and P.S. 116. During the summer months, THAP operates as a summer day camp, providing educational, recreational and cultural enrichment.
